Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) has announced that the Doha Metro has delivered a world-class transportation experience to more than 228 million passengers over the past six years.
This milestone reflects the metro network’s continued commitment to providing safe, efficient, and high-quality transit services for residents and visitors across Qatar.
In a statement on X platform, Qatar Rail underscored the metro’s impressive record of achievements and its role as a cornerstone of Qatar’s public transportation infrastructure.
Key performance indicators for service availability, regularity, and punctuality averaged 99.84%, while overall customer satisfaction reached an outstanding 99.91%. In terms of safety, the Doha Metro maintained an exceptionally low accident frequency rate of just 0.01, showcasing its unwavering focus on passenger safety.
Since its inception, the Doha Metro has played a vital role in supporting the successful hosting of more than 25 major sporting events.
The metro network currently includes 37 strategically located stations connecting key destinations across Doha. To enhance accessibility, 30 of these stations are integrated with Metrolink bus services across 63 routes, and 10 stations are supported by MetroExpress on-demand vehicles, ensuring last-mile connectivity for passengers.
