Saudi Arabia: Riyadh metro extends hours for Ramadan, running until 3am on Fridays

Metro and buses adjust schedules to support commuters during Ramadan

Riyadh Public Transport has announced extended operating hours for the Riyadh Metro and public transport buses during the month of Ramadan to accommodate commuters observing the fasting period.

The Riyadh Metro will run until 2am on all days except Friday, when service will extend until 3am.

On Fridays, the metro will begin operations at 12pm instead of the usual morning schedule. Public transport buses will operate daily from 6.30am to 3am, providing late-night accessibility for residents and visitors.

Under the revised schedule, the Riyadh Metro will operate from 8am to 2am from Sunday to Thursday, from 10am to 2am on Saturdays, and from 12pm to 3am on Fridays. Public transport buses will run from 6.30am to 3am daily.

The extended hours aim to enhance mobility across the capital during Ramadan, allowing commuters greater flexibility in travel times.
