The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) will provide 700 megawatts (MW) of electricity for the Riyadh Metro and Haramain Railway projects.
To satisfy the growth in electricity demand for the projects, SEC will supply 400 MW for the Riyadh Metro and 300 MW for the Haramain Railway.
The Kingdom has approximately $21.3 billion (SR80 billion) in SEC projects currently underway in order to keep up with the electricity demands of SEC’s 500,000 new subscribers. SEC has awarded another $21.3 billion (SR80 billion) in contracts to begin fulfilment in 2016. More info
